Consciousness is the Treasure.
We think of ourslves as a body which has consciousness when in truth we are consciousness with a body. A very small part of that consciousness has form in the shape of the body and a very small part of our consciousness is using the brain. Even more amazing is the fact that possibly less than 10% .of our brain is in use. If the brain is the hardware of the body and the Mind is the software then it is the Mind which provides us with the map to all the infinite and exquisite treasures of the Human Consciousness.
The Mind is the Map.
Imagine the Mind is like an onion, with The Universal Mind or Quantum Mind ( sometimes known as The Collective Consciousness ) as the outer skin. This is the part of the Mind which is connected to and shared with everything and everyone else. If you were to peel that onion you eventually come to the Subconscious Mind and then the Conscious Mind.
The Conscious Mind is the thinking component of which you are immediately aware. This is the part of the Mind which is logical and works throughout every day to analyse your options, make decisions and filter the information you receive from your senses.
The Unconscious or Subconscious Mind however is your SECRET WEAPON.. It controls the working parts and functions of your body, it stores your memories, your ability to solve problems, your habits and all the unseen motivators of your behaviour. It continues to operate even when you and your Conscious Mind is asleep.
 The Subconscious Mind is The Key.
It is your Subconscious Mind that influences the outcomes you really wish for and your subconscious beliefs which can determine whether you enjoy success or failure, the quality of your relationships, your health and everything which you describe as your reality. Its also the gateway to the Universal Mind and that pool of inspiration, knowledge and resources beyond anything you could imagine. This is the Key which unlocks the Secret of Abundance and Manifestation, this is the Key to your enormous potential.
Can we influence the Subconscious Mind?
YES. We can change our thinking patterns to produce positive results, we can reprogramme the Mind to replace negative thoughts and harmful habits and we can control our emotions so as to Manifest our most deeply held desires and aspirations. .
A small example of how the Subconscious can influence our behavior was demonstrated by scientists from Yale University . They conducted an experiment into the behavioral patterns of students who were asked to read about and assess a stranger: some students were handed a cup of iced coffee and some hot coffee. Interestingly enough, it seems that even a simple cup of coffee is enough to modify the way we judge strangers.
The results were absolutely amazing. The students knew nothing of the study but those holding the iced coffee judged that person to be cold, more alone and self-interested, quite opposite to those who had the hot cups of coffees in their hands.
What is the study presented above trying to say?
Experiences and associations over a lifetime become embedded in the Subconscious which acts independantly of the Conscious Mind. If we want to change the responses of our Conscious Mind to our world reality then we must begin by changing those damaging subliminal messages which are communicated to our conscious minds day in and day out!
